Ectropion

Ectropion is a condition of the eye lid where the lid margin is turned away from the normal position and the eye.


If the lid is turned inwards, the condition is termed entropion.


Both conditions may lead to recurrent eye infections, watery and sore eye, exposure keratopathy (corneal changes) and even permanent ocular damage if not treated promptly.
